Tanaka Rotary Forged* 5 Spoke Alloy Wheels

* The Tanaka is manufactured using a highly advanced production technique called Rotary Forging. The rim of the wheels is forged at high pressure while the wheel is spun at high speed. This alters the molecular structure and enhances the strength of the alloy. The benefit is a much lighter weight than a regular cast wheel. Most importantly, the weight saving is in the outer rim of the wheel which dramatically reduces rotational mass and enhances vehicle performance.

The Tanaka alloy wheel is named after the Tanaka International, also known as the Okayama International Circuit, built in 1992 as a private track race for the wealthy in a remote area of Japan. In 1994 and 1995, this circuit hosted the Formula One Pacific Grand Prix. Michael Schumacher won both of these events. This race made Japan one of only six countries to ever host more than one Formula One event in the same year.
